I’m sharing these character biographies with the understanding that there are two distinct approaches to experiencing a novel’s characters. Some readers prefer to discover them organically, unfolding their personalities, contradictions, and growth gradually through the story's pages, allowing each nuance to emerge over time.

That is, personally, my preferred way of encountering characters as well. There is a certain magic in meeting someone on the page without prior expectation, in allowing their complexities to reveal themselves slowly as the narrative progresses.

However, I also recognize that other readers prefer a different kind of engagement before beginning a story. They like to feel grounded in the world first, to understand who the key figures are, what drives them, and what emotional textures they carry. For these readers, knowing a character's core essence ahead of time enhances their connection to the journey, offering a sense of familiarity as they step into the story’s unfolding events.

With that in mind, I’ve included these brief introductions to the world of Obsessions. Within them, you will find glimpses of the main characters—their defining traits, their strengths, and their flaws. They are not exhaustive portraits, but rather entry points into who these individuals are and what shapes them.

That said, a word of caution: some of what follows may hint at future developments within the story and could contain minor spoilers for certain arcs.
